Chief Executive Officer

Austin Gard has a wide array of experience in the energy sector. He started his career with Chevron, working on drilling, completion, and facilities planning in the Gulf of Mexico. He then advanced to running Chesapeake's West Texas assets, and then to running Sand Ridge's West Texas programs.

John Ales

President

Legal counsel with over 30 years of experience of overseeing mineral and exploration leases throughout the state of Louisiana. Formerly Lousiana's Secretary of Natural Resources with a deep understanding and involvement of the regulatory processes for large scale natural resource operations.

Garrett Kimbell

Landman

Garrett Kimbell is a highly experienced professional with a well-rounded work history that includes aggressive public and private exploration and production companies, as well as a large Private Equity backed mineral fund. In addition, Garrett has experience in Corporate Development, Management, Business Development, and Strategy. He is an excellent communicator with exceptional analytical, computer, software, and problem-solving skills. Garrett is very effective at working with a team or individually to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently.

Joe Guillen

Secretary of Treasury

Joe is a leader in the energy sector. He was the treasurer and manager for Royal Dutch Shell Midstream. He was instrumental in launching the IPO for Shell Midstream Partners. Joe is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. He also has past experience in banking and investment banking with Whitney Bank and Hibernia Bank

Doug Freberg

Landman

A Certified Professional Landman with over 30 years business and regulatory experience. Experienced in oil and gas production acquisitions, negotiations, divestitures, land and legal matters. Doug’s clients have included Shell Oil, EOG Resources, Chesapeake Energy, Andadarko, ConocoPhilips and numerous independent oil and gas companies. He also represented natural gas and oil distribution companies and pipelines before the U.S. federal and state governments on legislative and regulatory matters.
